Ileana Gómez Gasteasoro is the Chief Operating Officer and Co-Founder of Mattilda, a financial technology company modernizing tuition management in Mexico.
She previously served as Chief Operating Officer at Albo, a leading neobank.
She has extensive experience in investment banking and infrastructure investments through roles at Goldman Sachs and BlackRock.
Ileana holds a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science from Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México.

Jesus Lanza

Jesús Lanza Losa is the Founder and CEO of Lottus Education, a tech-powered higher education consolidation platform in Mexico, serving over 80,000 students by providing innovative education solutions.
Before founding Lottus, Jesús worked at Cerberus Capital as a member of the Special Situations Group in London, focusing on the Southern European market.
He also held a position in Goldman Sachs' Latin American Investment Banking Division, where he worked on M&A.
Jesús holds a Master's in Finance from the London Business School and has pursued executive education at The London School of Economics and The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He also graduated in Business Administration from Universidad de Oviedo.

Abelardo Loscos is the Chief Financial Officer at Tangelo, a leading financial technology company.
Prior to his role at Tangelo, Abelardo held key positions at Deutsche Bank and Citigroup, where he developed deep expertise in corporate finance, capital markets, risk management, and financial analysis, playing a pivotal role in driving business growth and managing financial risks.
Abelardo holds a degree in Business Administration and Management from the Universidad de Navarra.
With his wealth of experience across major financial institutions, Abelardo has consistently demonstrated leadership and strategic insight, making significant contributions to the organizations he has worked for, particularly in areas of financial structuring, capital allocation, and risk mitigation.

Mauricio Bailléres

Associate

Mauricio Baillères is an Associate at Marea Group, specializing in investment strategy, corporate development, and financial analysis.
He plays a key role in managing investor relationships, deal sourcing, negotiations, and portfolio company performance at Marea Group.
He previously worked at Nubank, where he led initiatives such as evaluating M&A opportunities and launching the new debit card in Mexico, demonstrating strategic acumen.
Mauricio began his career in M&A investment banking at Dadoo & Asociados and honed his expertise as a Summer Analyst at Fredericks Michael & Co., focusing on cross-border M&A and financial modeling.

Ricardo Phillips

Analyst

Ricardo is responsible for conducting due diligence and market research at Marea Group.
With a strong foundation in economics and data analysis, he specializes in extracting operational data from target companies and automating financial modeling processes.
Previously, Ricardo gained experience in cloud architecture at Banco Santander, where he supported international data structure projects and implemented advanced data management solutions.
Ricardo’s expertise in data analysis and financial automation has consistently enabled impactful outcomes across his roles.

Maria Molina

Associate

Maria is a seasoned Investment Banker who began her career at Goldman Sachs as an analyst on the Healthcare team in New York, specializing in the diagnostics and biotechnology sectors.
In 2023, she joined Marea as an Associate in the Investment Team and now leads the M&A vertical. Guiding due-dilligence and modelling efforts.
With over three years of experience, Maria has advised clients on M&A and capital markets transactions.
She leverages her extensive expertise to deliver impactful results in every deal.

Enrique Lanza

CEO

Enrique is responsible for sourcing, structuring, underwriting and monitoring at Marea.
Prior to founding Marea, Enrique invested $340M in industrial RE assets in the Midwest, US, being part of Aurora Industrial, LLC – a RE investment platform, backed by BTG Pactual and Chilean Family Offices.
Enrique has had a 13 year tenure as Investment Banking Executive Director at Goldman Sachs and Director at Citigroup.
Advised clients on tactical transactions representing over $50Bn of deal value while working in Mexico City and New York, covering North and South America.
Serves as Director in Novadvice’s Investment Committee, Director in SEYSES, Investment Committee member in Aurora Industrial and he is mentor at Endeavor since 2012.
Holds a B.A. in Business Administration from Universidad de Oviedo and a Leadership Program in Derivatives and Alternative Investments from London School of Economics.
